| EDITORIAL Athanasios Aronis Publisher Rouxiotis.com Dear readers it has come to my attention that some of you think this web site has become a one sited bash against the president of Ereikousa, and the right hand of the head of the opposition. Well, if you are a fist time visitor on rouxioti.com you might think that, I don’t take any pleasure in reporting the events that have transpired the last couple of months in our little island but I would not be doing my job as the publisher of this web site if I didn't report the truth, not as I see it but with photo proof of what is going on. This web site has been in existence for three months now, and it will be a great sham and disservice to all that have visited roxiotis.com if I didn't call it as I see it. Is not my fault that the leaders we voted for are destroying the way of life as we know it in the Island that we love. Growing up on that island, I never experienced fear except the ghosts from my Grandmothers stories. Now the fear is evident in the people’s eyes as you get off the boat, with hidden smirks and questions, who is this guy for, and who he or she is going to support. This to me is like a television series of the seventy’s, THE DUKES of HAZARD, but with real life characters and real life consequences; (I will give you one guess of who boss hog is, but I’m still working on the Duke’s). I didn't wake up one day and decide that I will be the champion of what is right and wrong, God knows that I’m not the right person for that, but proof is in the pudding, as our newly found countrymen will say. Rouxiotis.com is here to inform and sometimes to take a position that might not be popular, but my guide is the truth, with evidence and not hearsay. If you think that I’m discrediting our island like some people have said because I lay everything in the open, then you are missing the point. In every democratic society the person that is supposed to be punished is the one that commits the offence, and not the person that reports the offence. Only dictatorships and the Mafia go against this rule. I will continue to speak out as long as there is one person out there willing to listen. As of me being the right hand of the minority leader of the Ereikousa council, there is nothing I can do since the people that think that, have already made up their minds. I’m sure there is a negative campaign to discredit this web site, and I accepted that, so I will let my work and words speak for themselves in the long run.
