An open letter to the members of the Pan Erikoussa society of America.
Dear Members:
My name is Athanasios Aronis and for the past five years I was our society’s web host.
Last week I rendered my resignation as web host to the Members of the Board, and I
would like to go on the record so there is no speculation or misunderstanding on the
reasons I resigned.
I’ve been hosting the web site for five years and the site and I have grown a little tired, it
needs new blood and new ideas so it can thrive in the future. Hosting a site like
panerikoussa.org is a big responsibility since it represents the whole membership and
not a particular person.
And since the web site belongs to all of us it is not right for just a few people to decide
what is right or wrong, but let’s leave that for our next general meeting. I have no regrets
working for our society,
and I will be working in the future for our society’s success whenever I’m needed.
I wish much success to the person that takes over the site and if he or she needs any
help, all they have to do is ask. I created this web site so I can have editorial control
(yes I’m a control freak) and not to spite or compete with the web site of our society.
I respect dearly the members of the new Board, and with your trust we will try to make
our tenure as productive as possible.
Thank you for your support the past five years, which were fun and educational, and
hope that I lived up to your expectations as a first time amateur web host.
With respect and admiration.
Thanasis.
